About Marine Dynamics
Marine Dynamics is a cage diving company based in Gansbaai, South Africa, with sister companies specialising in whale watching, pelagic seabird tours and likewise, a number of non-profit projects such as The African Penguin and Seabird Sanctuary and The Dyer Island Conservation Trust.
I unwittingly grew up on wildlife documentaries shot with and by Marine Dynamics. The company has been around almost as long as a shark industry has existed, never failing to innovate and consistently making good on its promise to contribute to the ongoing protection of the local area and its denizens.
My role in Marine Dynamics
When I dragged my better half along to Gansbaai to work for Marine Dynamics, it was initially to help complete the Trust’s research project on the local population of great white sharks.
Before I could say “Oh look, another bloody shark fin” however, I was overhauling the company’s brand and marketing materials, producing short films on their various projects and providing technical support on many of their other shark studies.
I continue to work with the company to this day, albeit on a remote basis.
